HOLIDAY HOEDOWN

Overview

Approach

Overview

My second year on the Campus Activities Board I took an executive roll as the Liaison. I got to lead a team of three to create a Christmas-themed two steppin' event.

We took a chance by reserving a venue that was about off-campus 30 minutes off campus the day before Thanksgiving break. We coordinated a pretzel, bundtini, hot cocoa and tea bar and I designed mugs as a gift to our guest with the event slogan "Howdy Holidays" printed on them. This was one of the most succesful events of the semester.

Overview

We booked a venue located roughly 30 minutes away from campus the day before Thanksgiving break. We arranged for a pretzel, bundtini, hot cocoa, and tea bar, and I personally created custom mugs as gifts for our guests, featuring the event's slogan "Howdy Holidays." This event turned out to be one of the most successful ones of the semester.

LOVE LOCAL

Overview

Overview

Overview

As a member of the Campus Activities Board (CAB), I got the opportunity to lead a small business fair event. The purpose of this event was to bring together the ACU community and provide a space for upcoming entrepreneurs to showcase their skills.

The approach I took was to rebrand the event to cater to a younger demographic. We branded and advertised the small business fair with the name Love Local, to promote local shopping. In addition to pushing this new brand by handing out free tote bags, we had live music and two different food trucks.

CHRISTMAS BINGO

Overview

Overview

Overview

This was the very first event I ever got to put together. This event is one that CAB loves to host so I got the opportunity to host this again in 2023. Through this experience I learned how to maximize a budget, create a fun environment for the event and communicate with team members and superiors.

For this event I focused mostly on maximizing our budget and redesigning the way Bingo had been done at ACU in the past. I did this by giving the event a theme and a personality. We really leaned into the Christmas theme by having an ugly sweater contest. We also gave the last round a twist by making it blackout spicy bingo where you switch your card after every number called out.
